Committed to Construction Safety through Innovation.

Tom’s journey in the construction industry started back in 1992 when he rolled up his sleeves as a Rodbuster and Concrete Worker. From there, he seamlessly transitioned into Form, Frame, and Finish Carpentry, showing his versatility early on.
Not one to wait around, Tom climbed the career ladder swiftly, becoming an Assistant Superintendent at the impressive age of 22. By 27, he was calling the shots as a Superintendent, proving that age is just a number.
However, life had another plan for Tom. In the wake of the 9/11 attacks, he felt called to serve his country and enlisted in the Army at 29. Serving with the 82nd Airborne as an Infantry Squad Leader, Sniper, and Communications Specialist, Tom completed two combat tours during Operation Iraqi Freedom before being honorably discharged in 2009.
Back on civilian soil, Tom wasted no time getting back into the swing of things. He joined W.G. Mills, opening their first office in North Carolina in 2009. With a twist of fate, W.G. Mills was later acquired by Gilbane Building Company in 2010.
Over the next decade, Tom wore many hats, from Superintendent to General Superintendent, tackling diverse projects across various market sectors. And he didn’t stop there; Tom lent his expertise to other notable companies like Coastal Construction, Suffolk Construction, and KAST Construction, leading signature projects over the last six years.
With a wealth of experience under his belt and a passion for building, Tom Guilford continues to leave his mark on the construction industry, one project at a time.
